Recommendations for safely storing your RV

  • Trailers should be equipped with a hitch lock.
  • Keep all doors and windows closed and locked.
  • Keep all valuables inside your vehicle out of sight.
  • Exterior mounted generators should be locked and securely mounted to the RV or trailer.
  • Motorcycles, ATVs, Jet Skis, etc. stored on trailers should be covered and locked to the trailer.
  • Tool boxes, gas cans, spare parts, safety helmets, etc. that are stored on trailers should be out of sight and safely secured (locked if possible) to the trailer.
  • Boats should be securely covered to keep anything of value unexposed (fishing gear, coolers, electronics, etc.).
  • Gas/Fuel cans must be empty – No combustibles are allowed anywhere in the storage yard.
  • Propane tanks must be turned off/closed.

Always refer to your contract for your RV storage site’s contractual rules and regulations.
